Servants teams are currently living and
working amongst the urban poor in:
The Philippines
The first Servants team went into the slums of Manila over
twenty years ago. Since then, a number of ground-breaking
ministries have been established which have transformed the
lives of hundreds of urban slum leaders, street kids,
unemployed women and the poor in close partnership with local
churches planted by Servants. We need people now with a heart
for the Filipino poor to join us in this inspiring work.

Cambodia
In 1993 God called a medical team together to minister in
Phnom Penh. The team pioneered work amongst people living with
AIDS by mobilising local Cambodian volunteers to minister to
the sick. Other initiatives include a micro-enterprise credit
program, grassroots work amongst orphans and disabled
children, sanitation and later this year - vocational training
and mentoring. In 2006, a new team moved to Phnom
Penh to build on the existing ministry and pioneer new
directions. Contact us

support the work financially.

India
Servants teams live and work amongst the urban poor in two major
Indian cities. Servants team members assist local Indian
organizations in relief and development work amongst Muslims
in one major city. In a second city, a new Servants team is
preparing to go and build on established relationships and
ministries in partnership with a local church. We
urgently need people with a heart for the poor and a vision
for building God's kingdom in this place. Contact us to
find out how you can join this team (ask for the info pack) or support
the work financially. learn more
Indonesia
In the wake of the tsunami, Servants established a long term
team in partnership with Indonesian Christians to live and
work amongst the urban poor in Banda Aceh, helping to rebuild
the city and restore livelihoods. In late 2008 we will transition out of Banda Aceh and establish a new team in Jakarta, home to the nation‘s poorest urban slum communities, which comprise a quarter of the city‘s population. If you are
interested in joining this new team contact us and ask for the info pack. learn more
Myanmar
We are currently exploring partnerships with Burmese Christians and believe God is calling us to establish a new Servants team in Yangon. The military dictatorship make this a difficult context in which to do mission, but God-willing we would like to see a pioneer team go in early 2009. Contact us if God is calling you to this country and we can send you more info.
Other cities in Asia
God has not finished building his kingdom amongst the poor in
Asia. We believe he is still calling and using Christians from
around the world to transform the slums and bring his love to
the poor. Do you have a heart for living and working in
another urban slum somewhere else in Asia? Perhaps God is
calling together a new team to pioneer work in a new place.
Contact us so we can make this journey together.
Vancouver
Seeking to blur the line between "home" and "field", Servants has established a team in the Downtown Eastside inner city area of Vancouver, BC to minister to the urban poor in this affluent city. This is a Western expression of the Servants vision and principles. The team live together in an intentional community and practise radical hospitality, opening their home and lives to their urban poor neighbours. learn more
London
Following closely in the footsteps of the Vancouver team, Servants will establish a new team in Southall, London in 2008. Contact us if you would like to know more about joining this team (ask for the Southall vision document). learn more
