Our Board of Elders

Our Elders are people experienced in mission, sharing a passion for Jesus and the urban poor. They hold Servants accountable to our vision and mission, principles and values. Elders also support and advise the International Coordination Team and the International Leadership Council as well as, at times, the other teams on directions and issues in mission:

He is author of many books, including 'Not Religion, But Love', 'Building A Better World' and the ‘Compassionate Community Work’ manual.

Charles Ringma is Emeritus Professor of Mission Studies, Regent College, Vancouver, Canada. He is also the founder of Teen Challenge Australia and the author of many books, including 'Catch the Wind' and 'Cry freedom with Voices from the Third World'. he has worked, taught and lived in many countries.

Jenny Duckworth is the co-founder of Urban Vision, a mission community serving Jesus amongst those struggling on the margins of society. Together with her husband Justin and kids they live with a number of others at Ngatiawa community, a place for those seeking a deeper life with Jesus.   Paul Mather spent ten years with his wife Wendy and family living in squatter communities in Manila, leading the Servants team there. He is now part of Urban Vision in Wellington, NZ and works with Praxis, an urban mission training course for young leaders.
