Steps to Becoming a Servants Worker

1.  DISCERNMENT PHASE

Welcome, the journey together begins.  Contact us and fill out a preliminary expression of interest form.  If you haven’t already, begin to discuss your thoughts with your church leaders.  If possible, we'll come and chat with you and your church and put you in contact with the team in the Asian city you are interested in.

2.  LEARNING PHASE

The relationship building continues!  - between you and the Servants team in Asia, Servants in your home country and your church.  We’ll also begin to work out with you the steps involved in your unique training and formation process.  This will include recommended books & articles, courses & retreats.

3.  FORMATION PHASE

The personal development and formation process continues and together we'll look at what areas need further input before departure.

4.  DECISION PHASE

Time to make a commitment!  You’ll receive a decision from Servants (both home and field team make this decision prayerfully together).  Now we need to get those medical & psychological tests done, final interviews and discussions with your sending church.  Its all go now as you attend the Servants pre-field orientation course and begin raising support.

5.  JOINING PHASE

Nearly there!  We’ll help you confirm your budget and financial support. We’ll decide together the timing of your arrival in Asia.  Fill in this Personal Info and Emergency Contact Details Form.Then after the commissioning service at your sending church you’ll be off to join the team!
